How to approach the implementation
Define the reporting period
Agree a timezone, week boundary and which date determines inclusion. Deals created during a week and deals won during a week answer different questions.
Retrieve the complete dataset
Account for pagination, filters and API limits. Store the reporting window and source status so missing data can be distinguished from a real zero.
Calculate before summarising
Use deterministic calculations for totals and comparisons. If AI writes a narrative, provide verified figures and require it to avoid inventing causes.
Deliver and reconcile
Include the reporting period, data freshness and source links. If a source fails, label the report incomplete or stop delivery according to an agreed rule.
